Used from the 13th-century right up until 1975, this historic hammam is an extensive complex that is undergoing an elegant restoration. There's a typically indirect entrance to the mashlah (main cold room set around a fountain) and good information and intriguing plasterwork through the whole building. Note the relief of the Lamb of God on the entrance door

Dating from 1336, it represents probably the most outstanding example of Islamic religious architecture in Tripoli. The prayer hall is a marvellous space with an ornate inlaid pulpit, elegant lamps and stone vaulting
