Stop At: Romanian Athenaeum (Ateneul Roman), Str. Franklin 1, Bucharest Romania
We start our tour early morning, in Bucharest, with the pick-up from your hotel. The first stop is at the Athenaeum, a beautiful concert hall built at the end of the 19 century. What a better place to start a tour of Romania than the Athenaeum, where you can find the entire recent history of the Romanians depicted on the walls of the main concert hall? You'll have the chance to learn about our Latin origin, about the Principalities of Transylvania, Wallachia and Moldavia and the century-long struggle of the Romanians to live together between the same boundaries, about the way how they achieved that in 1918, about our faith and the reasons why the most part of the Romanians are Christian-Orthodox, about our traditions, culture and art, and much more.

View the Passage of Stairs linking the Upper town to the Lower town, the 1859 Liar's Bridge and the Byzantine style Orthodox Cathedral, a replica of St. Sophia in Constantinople. Sibiu is a pleasant town where residents relax at cafés along streets lined with handsome buildings.
