Day 1: Cusco – Km 82 - Wayllabamba.

Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Km 82 - Wayllabamba.

Stop At: Patallacta, 08680, Peru
At 5:00 am. You will meet at your hotel with the professional guide and the driver to start a 2-hour trip to km 82, which is the beginning of the trek. It is also the place where you will meet with the chef and the local porters.
Once ready, pass the checkpoint, show your original passport and ticket. Start enjoying your adventure by walking along a gentle path to the Wayllabamba campsite, which is 3,050 meters / 10,006 feet. On the way, visit the archaeological site of Patallacta and, while enjoying your lunch, see the splendid landscapes of the Urubamba River valley, as well as the incredible views of the Andes mountain range.
At 6:30 p.m., at the camp, enjoy a nutritious dinner.

Day 2: Wayllabamba - Warmiwañusqa - Pacaymayo

Stop At: Dead Woman, 08680, Peru
Today is the most challenging day because you will cross the highest point of the hike.
Have your breakfast at 6:00 a.m., then start the 5-hour walk until you reach the highest point commonly called Warmiwañusca (dead woman), which is 4200 meters / 13779 feet. Therefore, you will have stunning views of the eastern Andes mountain range. Then, continue the walk along a beautiful stone path to the Pacaymayo camp (3,640 meters / 11,942 feet). After lunch, take a relaxing break. At 6:30 p.m., enjoy your nutritious dinner and then spend your second night camping next to a small stream of freshwater.

Day 3: Pacaymayo - Puyapatamarka – Wiñayhuayna

Stop At: Winay Wayna, Machu Picchu Peru
After the energetic breakfast, start the day with a climb from the Pacaymayo Valley to the Runkuracay Pass (3970 meters / 13,024 feet). On this trip, let yourself be fascinated by the charm of nature, deep valleys, steep mountains covered with vegetation and snow. Gradually descend to the lunch place, visiting the small archeological sites. After your short break, continue down for 2 hours to Wiñaywayna, where you will spend the last night of your adventure, and in the afternoon, explore the archaeological complex of Wiñayhuayna.

Day 4: Wiñay Wayna - Machu Picchu – Cusco.

Stop At: Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu Peru
It is the final and most anticipated stretch of the Inca Trail. Because you will visit Machu Picchu, the wonder of the world.
At 4:00 a.m. Have your last breakfast with the expedition team and say goodbye to the porters and the chef. Then, start walking on a slightly steep path until you reach the door of the sun (Inti Punku). From where you will enjoy incredible panoramic views of the lost city. Then, descend to the city and explore for 2 hours along with your tour guide.
After all, take the bus to the city of Aguas Calientes, have lunch at any restaurant on your own. Then, head to the Aguas Calientes train station to board your train back (at 3:20 p.m.) to Poroy station, where our staff will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Cusco.

• Hiking time - 2 hours

• To climb the Huayna Picchu or the mountain, make an additional reservation and discover the challenging construction of the Incas.
• The camps mentioned in this itinerary are for reference only, because when making the reservation, the Ministry of Culture of Cusco that regulates the sustainable visit in the Inca Trail network will assign us the available camps.
