Itinerary Details

Gyoza dumplings are crispy-on-the-outside juicy-on-the-inside Japanese potstickers. A staple of izakayas (traditional gastropubs) in Japan, gyoza is also a fun home-cooked dish that can get family or friends involved in the kitchen. In many households, the gyoza wrappers are bought pre-made from the supermarket, but not in this Wagyu Beef and Gyoza Bento Class! Everything will be made from scratch, from the gyoza wrappers to the minced meat. You’ll also learn how to properly fold and pleat the gyoza, making perfect pockets of meat!

Additionally, you’ll learn to cook three classic Japanese side dishes, make miso soup, and cook up some juicy slices of Japanese wagyu beef. Then, you’ll pan-fry your gyoza until they are perfectly golden brown and assemble your wagyu beef and gyoza bento! Along with your meal, you can also enjoy your choice of drink (a glass of raw sake or plum wine) if you are of legal drinking age in Japan. Those under the legal drinking age of 20 years old can enjoy a sweet koji pudding with brown rice syrup and green tea.
