Stop At: Duomo di Milano

The Duomo of Milan is a magnificent cathedral of Italian Gothic architecture. It is considered a staple in Milanese culture for the golden statue on top of it. The statue is of the Virgin Mary, in Milanese dialect “Madunina” and overlooks and protects the city from above. If you listen to folkloristic Milanese songs you will often hear the Madunina featured in them.

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is the first shopping centre in Italy. It was built between 1865 and 1867 and contains many elegant boutique and antique cafés. The main aspects of the Galleria that will leave you astonished are the arcades and the immense glass dome in the centre.

Stop At: Teatro Alla Scala

The Theatre Alla Scala is a world famous Opera House, where many artists have performed, including operatic singers, symphonic orchestras and ballet dancers. The structure is of neoclassical architecture and gives the building an elegant and sophisticated style.
