Shore Excursion: Panoramic Stockholm Highlights with Vasa Museum and Gamla Stan
Once we arrive at Djurgården, we will guide you through the famous Vasa Museum, a fascinating maritime museum with the world’s best-preserved 17th century warship. The Vasa sank on its maiden voyage in 1628 and was salvaged in 1961.
We will then continue our tour by driving through scenic Stockholm and make stops at Fjällgatan and Riddarholmen Island. We will drive through affluent Östermalm, along Strandvägen, Stockholm’s most beautiful boulevard with views of hundreds of bobbing boats in the water. As we continue our drive, you will see sights such as the Royal Dramatic Theatre, Raoul Wallenbergs Torg, Kungsträdgården, and Riksdag, as well as The Houses of the Swedish Parliament, The Royal Palace, The Royal Opera.
Once we arrive at Gamla Stan you will get the chance to explore charming, Medieval Old Town up close. We will begin at the Royal Palace and make our way through the streets of the city. We will see Storkyrka, the Finnish Church, and Järnpojk, the tiny 15cm high public sculpture. You will then have the opportunity to stroll around the Old Town independently, and enjoy lunch or a coffee and pastry at your leisure, or do some shopping, before we bring you back to your ship.

Nice clean bus! We left on time and saw a lot. The museum was really neat.
Tour guide could have been a bit better - maybe more facts and other details about the location could have been added. Still, quite good!
We had a group of 11 and this tour was a great way to see Stockholm. Meeting the local tour operator (SPB) at the port off the cruise ship was easy. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Yes i would recommend this tour but there's more..... We initially thought we booked the tour of just our own party. We found out that was not the case after we met the local tour operator (SPB) at the port. Whilst it took quite a few phone calls (the person from SPB was not exactly friendly on the phone at the time) and emails, Viator did finally refund us so we only paid the tour as normal, rather than our-own-group-tour. I should add that the Viator representatives have all been friendly and professional on the phone and responsive with emails. THANK YOU VIATOR for your services.
Vasa Museum was very interesting, Gamla Stan was very neat to see. Tour guide Natasha was very knowledgeable.
We had only one day in Stockholm and this tour took us to the popular sights, provided us with our own time to walk around and gave of lots of historical and current information about the city.
Left the ship and met with the group. They did not have our names on their list. We waited and waited and was told they were still checking on it. Rather than keep the rest of the tour we just walked around the port town. The other tours with SBP were great. Our only problem was with Stockholm.
