Take a stroll down a pretty stone path that follows a canal lined with cherry blossom trees. Named after famous Japanese philosopher Nishida Kitaro, who used to takes this route on his daily commute to Kyoto University.

A breathtaking 500m of cherry blossoms that line a former railroad set on a slope. This is a great photo stop since you can look down the tree-lined slope creating a beautiful pink tunnel

A hidden gem of a cherry blossom spot! It's a 1.4km river bank boasting 250 cherry trees at the meeting point of the Kizu, Uji and Katsura rivers.

  • The best time to view cherry blossoms varies depending on the weather and temperature of the season. This tour is organized with reference to the blooming conditions of previous years, however blooming season varies depending on the climate. In some cases you might not able to enjoy the scenery as shown in the photo. Visiting time at the sightseeing places might be shortened depending on the blooming conditions. Please note there will be no refund regardless of the conditions of the cherry blossoms.
  • Wearing clothes and shoes that let you move easily and comfortably is strongly recommended.
  • This tour is operated for both Japanese and foreign customers. A Japanese tour conductor with an English-speaking staff will accompany the tour and will provide you with some necessary information during the trip, but he/she is not responsible for providing any detailed introduction of attractions
  • The seats on the Randen train are non-reserved. You may have to stand during the journey. There will also be a transfer during the journey.
  • Arashiyama pleasure boat activity may be cancelled depending on the weather or the water level. In such case the boat ride fee (at the group price) will be refunded.
