Stop At: The Vietnamese Sangha Congregation in America Tu Vien Kim Son, 574 Summit Rd, Watsonville, CA 95076, USA

On this tour, you'll be guided by an experienced tour guide on a peaceful journey to explore Kim Son Monastery (Tu Viện Kim Sơn) one of the largest and most secluded mountain top Buddhist Monastery located about an hour away from San Jose. Get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, traffic lights and congested city streets and enjoy a relaxing experience among giant marble and granite sculptures, serene gardens, fish ponds, several meditation halls and Buddhist cuisine offered by the monastery. Meet resident Buddhist monks. The large sculptures at this monastery had to be flown in by helicopter due to its size and weight. The roads leading up to the monastery is narrow and surrounded by 100-year-old redwoods, a true sight to be seen.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Duc Vien Buddhist Community Pagoda, 2420 McLaughlin Ave, San Jose, CA 95121-2745

Enjoy hand-carved pagodas, meditation halls, beautiful sculptures, explore hidden pathways and relax in the water garden. Take photos of the variety of exotic flowers and fish species in the shaded ponds as well as food and snacks prepared by the resident monks.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Vietnam Town, 909-999 Story Rd, San Jose, CA 95122, USA

Choose from numerous restaurants and food stalls at Vietnam Town where you can grab a quick bite for lunch. We recommend delicious meat or vegan bao buns or a plate of freshly steamed rice cakes with an assortment of vegetables and meat options or a piping hot bowl of beef Pho. Finished quickly? enjoy some shopping at the many shops available.
