Jimmy Lin was my guide and he was simply amazing. I had a great day with him.
He picked me up on time, he arrived early actually. He had a very nice Mercedes Benz to drive me around in. He cleaned it and sanitized it (because of the Coronavirus) as well.
He was very passionate about Taipei, I could tell he loved his country and his city, I enjoyed his passion and the information he gave me.
I did the usual tourist spots, Taipei 101 and the temples and they were all great but my favourite place was the north east coast at Yehliu Geopark. If you have time, go there.
However the absolute highlight was the dumplings I had for lunch. I was a little concerned about this but it ended up being fine.
Jimmy took me to where he would eat, not the tourist places and literally left me there, on my own, for half an hour or so as I ate. These dumplings were like nothing I have ever eaten before! Sweet initially, then juicy and savoury to end. WOW.
I can't give you the name because I can't read Taiwanese. Sorry.
When Jimmy picked me up he had bought me a Peal Tea to try. Was this normal or did he just like me? Whatever the reason, thank you so much Jimmy. Totally recommend the 8 hour tour I did and my guide Jimmy Lin. Try asking for him if you book as who knows what other guides are like?

Roger, our guide, was the most amazing resource. We enjoyed every minute of our tour. Roger asked us where we wanted to go in Taipei and we went to every location that we wanted to see. Roger made sure that we were able to try special culinary treats on our adventure. We love them all. We highly recommend that you take a private tour with Roger, he is amazing.

Jimmy our guide was prompt, flexible, gratuitous and very helpful and accommodating. By choice we traveled north to see the Oceanside, waterfalls, cat village and a coal town, but still had time for traditional sites in Taipei. Great trip and host...highly recommend Jimmy and this full day tour. Thanks
