Stop At: St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika)

You will visit the impressive Saint Stephen's Basilica built for the memory of the first Hungarian king (died in 1038). It has many statues and frescoes, as well as the mummified right hand of the first king. The church is open every day, except Sunday morning religious service.

You will see the dramatic monuments of the Nazi and Soviet occupations and dictatorships as well as the miraculous fountain (during the warm season).

Stop At: Great / Central Synagogue (Nagy Zsinagoga)

Visit the greatest Jewish temple of Europe with a unique style from 1854. Depending on your interest and the length of ticket line, it is possible to have a guided tour inside where the local guide of the Synagogue will give you a 30-minujte lecture on Hungarian Jewish history. The garden of the temple has a shocking memorial cemetery of thousand of victims killed here during World War 2. The Synagogue is closed on Saturdays.

Stop At: Buda Castle

We will cross the river Danube and get to the Castle of Buda from where you will see the most beautiful panoramic view of the city. The Castle Quarter is the oldest district of Budapest plenty of cute Medieval dwelling houses.

Stop At: Halaszbastya

As the last stop of the tour you will have the chance to admire one of the most beautiful and fascinating places in Budapest, the Fishermen's Bastion with the famous panorama over the river Danube and the Hungarian Parliament building.

Stop At: Matthias Church

We will walk around the beautiful Matthias Church built in the Middle Ages in Gothic style. Upon request it is possible to visit it inside with your tour guide. The inside visit takes about 30 minutes and includes all the rich artworks as well as a small historical exhibition on the upper floor. The church is closed on Sunday mornings during religious service, and sometimes on Saturdays due to wedding ceremonies.

See the oldest bridge on the Danube, a monumental and beautiful suspension bridge built in 1849.

Stop At: Heroes' Square

Walk through the impressive Heroes' Square, the largest square in Budapest. In the middle of the square you find the Millennium Monument, while on its two sides you will see the Arts Hall and the Fine Arts Museum.

Visit the Millennium Monument, commemorating 1000 years of Hungarian history. In front of the monument you will find the grave of the unknown heroes, while in the colonnades around you can admire the statues of the greatest kings and leaders of the country.

Stop At: Vajdahunyad Castle (Vajdahunyadvar)

Explore Budapest City Park, the oldest public park in the world. Walk over a bridge to reach an island on the lake, home to the romantic Vajdahunyad Castle. All around the courtyard there are copies of buildings representing different periods and styles of Hungarian architecture.

Stop At: Anonymus Szobor (Anonymous' Statue)

In the inner courtyard of the castle you will discover the interesting statue of Anonymus, the first history writer of Hungary who lived in the 12th century.

You will pass by the main building of the famous Szechenyi Baths, the largest thermal bath of Europe. Through the windows you will be able to see the outdoor pools and people swimming in the warm water.
